Just a quick post before I forget any longer to share it . . .
I attended the WAML (Western Association of Map Libraries) conference in early September 2016.
The conference was held at the Stanford University David Rumsey Map Center, in the heart of Silicon Valley in California’s southwest San Francisco Bay Area.
I’ll hopefully elaborate on the full experience in a later post, but suffice it to state here that it was a phenomenal conference. It was also a true privilege to spend some time in what is perhaps the best University-held space for map and map-knowledge resources on Earth, the Stanford University David Rumsey Map Center.
